KBH Campus Expansion Construction Update for the Week of 3/20/2023
Martin Jahn Nursing Pavilion
• Pepper turned over the substantial completion paperwork to KBH.
• IDPH performed a compliance review of the paperwork and requested three documents which were provided right away.
• Next step is for IDPH to come for an on-site Life Safety Code visit. Once that is complete, we will then schedule an on-site nursing review.
• All furniture is in except 14 recliners and some window treatments.
• Tours are offered next week:
-Monday, March 27th, at 2:00pm
-Tuesday, March 28th, at 1:00 pm.

The Gardens
• Weather over the past week didn’t fully cooperate with us, and the pour for the16” slab will now take place on Thursday, March 30th.
• During that time approximately 50 trucks will be in and out.
• The pour will start at the north end of the garage moving in toward the middle.
• The mechanicals will then be installed on the 16” slab
As concrete work continues at The Gardens, the crew is prepping for the 16” of concrete that will be poured that will make up the roof of the garage/floor of the garden level. The pour is scheduled for Thurs., March 30th.
This is a view of a resident room in the Martin Jahn Nursing Pavilion. As you can see, the resident rooms will include private bathrooms with showers.
