King-Bruwaert House, a not-for-profit, charitable Life Plan Community in Burr Ridge, IL, is pleased to announce that room renovations in its original Manor Home are soon to open. The Bridge, which will house four newly renovated assisted living suites will welcome residents in Spring of 2022. Ranging in size from 755 to over 1,000 sf, these brand-new assisted living suites will provide larger options which modern seniors prefer. The Bridge plans are based off our Carrington Hall assisted living suites which were renovated, and opened, in 2019.

These four suites will offer kitchenettes with beautiful, white cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and quartz countertops; custom millwork throughout; spacious bathrooms with no-lip shower entries with glass doors; and much more. The Bridge will offer our first two-bedroom assisted living suite (with two full bathrooms) which will be great for a couple. Also available are two, one-bedroom and one-bathroom suites and a one-bedroom with 1 ½ bathrooms. Bridge residents will receive the great services, including nursing support, that all of our other assisted living residents receive at King-Bruwaert House.

The Bridge remodel plan is taking place in conjunction with a larger, campus expansion plan at King-Bruwaert House which also includes the demolition and rebuilding of KBH’s main skilled nursing wing, Health Care, and the addition of The Gardens of KBH, a 44 independent living, luxury apartment home building. The Gardens will include amenities like a fitness center which will also house a spa area for massage therapy, a restaurant which will be connected to a lounge and bar area, several grand, living and multi-purpose rooms for programs and services hosted by KBH’s Life Enrichment team. Both Health Care and The Gardens are scheduled to open in late 2023.
